Martch Art Project took part in Paris Photo 2024, held at the Grand Palais Éphémère from November 7 to 10, with a solo presentation by Sinem Dişli at booth C06.
Born and raised in Urfa, Sinem Dişli’s practice explored the tensions between official narratives, natural history, and environmental memory. Focusing on the ecological concerns of Mesopotamia and the Euphrates River region, her work treated the land as a living archive—highlighting its cultural and geological complexity. Through this approach, she offered a critical perspective on the hierarchical relationship between nature and human history.
