" I was born in Istanbul in 1981, where I still live.
I am a self-taught painter with no formal art training. I have started painting in 2020.
During the daytime I am occupied with my profession in the heavy industry; and when it is dark outside I am painting. My daily routine is that I wake up at 5 am in the mornings to paint before the day starts, and later I continue in the evenings.

The reason I am painting is because I am fond of storytelling and I enjoy connecting with viewers through this practice.
I have been practicing visual arts for a long time -primarily film and photography-, but I find painting to be a much more independent and personal act of visual arts therefore I am focused on it.

I am always working on a canvas.. Mainly using spray paint, acrylics and oil pastels.
Practicing art helps me to apprehend and enjoy life itself.  Through paintings I like to explore the elements of dark humour by mainly focusing on relationship between humans and technology, the impact of technology on society, and the effects of modernization. I paint figurative compositions that depict a sense of unease and dystopia, but contain a glimmer of hope and optimism. In that frame, humor and irony usually play a key role to convey this feeling in my paintings.
